Curriculum Design
As President and Founder of three charter schools, I created an
integrated instructional program/cutting-edge curriculum to remediate
learning disabilities in low-performing/at-risk students. My goal was
to return these students into the educational mainstream without special
education needs at grade level in reading, writing and math. The
curriculum was formulated from neurocognitive research and educational
best practices research.
• More than doubled average annual student achievement gains in reading,
reading comprehension and math calculation based on nationally normed
tests.
• Roughly one-fourth of students mainstreamed transcending need for special education services.
• Developed effective curriculum and school model for replication in
public and private sectors for learning disabled people of all ages.
